Alabama has several great non-profit charities. Such as United Way of Northeast Alabama. From the website of United Way of Muscle Shoals:

Muscle Shoals based United Way treats helps families in need. They are dedicated to the community and deserve any donation you can give them.

Camp ASCCA primarily contributed to by Easter Seals of Alabama. From the website of the Easter seals:
